Council Bluffs Daily Nonpareil, August 2, 1908 The funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock this afternoon from the residence of Harry Messner, 1229 Seventh Avenue, and from the Swedish Lutheran Church at 2:30 o'clock. Rev. E. Glad, pastor of the church, will officiate. The burial will take place in Walnut Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Messner had at the time of her death, been a resident of Council Bluffs for seventeen years. She was born in Essex, Iowa in 1887, and was united in marriage to Mr. Messner on October 25, 1905. Her death was particularly distressing that besides her husband, parents, and two sisters, she leaves a babe four days of age. Her parents are Mr. and Mrs. C. F. Nelson, 603 North Eighth Street, and her sisters are Mrs. E. V. Gustafson of 20 Benton Street and Miss Edna Nelson, residing at home. Council Bluffs Daily Nonpareil, August 4, 1908 Funeral services for Mrs. Emma Messner were held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the residence, 1229 Seventh Avenue and at 2:30 at the Swedish Lutheran Church. Burial took place in Walnut Hill Cemetery, Rev. E. Glad officiating. The funeral was largely attended. Besides her husband she leaves a four days old baby. The funeral will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the Swedish Lutheran church, and burial will be in Walnut Hill cemetery, Section 6, Lot 046, Grave 12.
