Description	:	The following from Find A Grave contributor "Cara": The River Press, Fort Benton, Mont., 16 March 1983 Florence Crane McMahon, Fort Benton Native, Dies Florence Crane McMahon, 90, died recently in Pasadena, Calif. She was born in Fort Benton April 17, 1892, and grew up here, but had lived most of her life in California. She was the last of 11 children of George W. and Julia Ione Payne Crane, a pioneer family of Fort Benton. She was born in Fort Benton April 17, 1892, and grew up here, but had lived most of her life in California. She was the last of 11 children of George W. and Julia Ione Payne Crane, a pioneer family of Fort Benton. Her mother was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rufus Payne, the father an early day blacksmith here. Her father, a Civil War veteran, came to Montana in 1866, after mining located at Clancy, where he was married. They came to Fort Benton in 1879 operating a store until his death in 1913. He was postmaster here 1900-1913. Mrs. Crane died here in 1951. Cremation of remains of Mrs. McMahon has taken place and burial was in the family plot in Riverside cemetery, Fort Benton, at a private ceremony. Only survivors are nephews and nieces, among them, Leonard Crane of Fort Benton, Leo Kilroy of Butte, Marlene Orhame of Helena, and James Crane of Haydon Lake, Idaho. ..........
