Mr. Langel's six sons will act as pallbearers. Mr. Langel was born Oct. 31, 1899, a son of the late Theodore and Mary Ahlers Langel. He married Christina Rolfes in Le Mars on Oct. 7, 1914. The couple farmed near Le Mars until Mrs. Langel's death April 1, 1949. Mr. Langel moved to Le Mars in 1951. He was preceded in death by his wife; a daughter, Adella Bivins; grandson, Robert Ney; two brothers, Ted and William and two sisters, Teckla Langel and Mrs. Mary Ortmann. Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Lawrence (Helen) Ney of Granville, Mrs. Joseph (Mildred) Junkers of Minneapolis and Mrs. Henry (Mary Ellen) Boden of Kingsley; six sons, Edward, Victor and Ray, all of Le Mars, William of Remsen, Lawrence of Cherokee and Clifford of Norfolk, Neb.; two brothers, Leo and Joe, both of Le Mars; four sisters, Mrs. Ed Ortmann, who is his twin sister, Mrs. Joe Rolfes and Mrs. John Harpenau, all of Le Mars, and Mrs. Ben Schraad of Worthington, Minn.; 35 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
