Description	:	Kernersville-Franklin Monroe Collins, 84, went home to be with the Lord September 16, 2014. Funeral Services celebrating his life will be held 11:00AM Saturday September 20, 2014 at Gospel Light Baptist Church with Dr. Bobby Roberson and Rev. Frank Shumate officiating. Interment will follow at 3:00PM Saturday in the Cox Chapel Cemetery in Independence, Virginia. A native of Allegheny County, Frank was the son of the late Nannie Black and Mack Coy Collins. Interment will follow at 3:00PM Saturday in the Cox Chapel Cemetery in Independence, Virginia. A native of Allegheny County, Frank was the son of the late Nannie Black and Mack Coy Collins. He served his country with the US Army 11th Airborne Division, during the Korean War, as a paratrooper. He was the owner of Southern TV Repairs in Winston-Salem. Frank was a longtime member of Gospel Light Baptist Church and served as caretaker of the Youth Camp in Hillsville, VA. He was preceded in death by all nine of his siblings. Survivors include his wife Nancy Moore Collins of the home; children Cathy Doub, Larry Collins, Ronald Collins, and Donald Collins; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family will visit with friends from 10:00AM until time for the service at the church on Saturday.
