| Description | : | Freda was the daughter of the late Oliver B. and Ethel (Kier) Negley. Freda graduated from Underwood, Iowa High School, where she lived for most of 17 years. After high school, Freda clerked at JC Penney in Council Bluffs. On June 10, 1936, Freda married George Harold Ford at Broadway United Methodist Church in Council Bluffs. They had one son, Donald.
