Born in Sang Run, he was a son of the late Elijah and Mary (Friend) Hoye. Mr Hoye was a retired farmer, former employee of the Garrett County Roads Department, and a member of the Sang Run Church. Surviving are his widow, Elizabeth (Hoye) Hoye; five daughters, Mrs. Miriam Friend and Mrs. Mry Van Sickle, Accident; Miss Margaret Hoye and Mrs. Ruth Booth, Alexandria, Va.; Miss Kathryn Hoye, Glen Echo; two sons, Baxton Hoye, Alexandria, Va. and Paul Hoye, of Sang Run; two sisters, Miss Ruth Hoye and Miss Nellie Hoye, and a half-sister, Mrs. Ora May Hoye Liming, all of Sang Run; 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. The body is at the Minnich Funeral Home, where friends will be received today from 7 to 9 and tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in the Sang Run Church by Rev. Homer Mellot and Rev. Donald Matthews. Interment will be in Sang Run Cemetery. (Transcribed by Ronn E. Friend)
