Description	:	Son of James & Julia A. (Perkins) Bestwick George Bestwick was born April 28, 1882, near Sabetha, Kansas, and died September 21, 1916, at the Republican valley hospital. Funeral services were held from the home Sunday, September 24, at 3 o'clock p.m., conducted by Rev. George W. Kreba assisted by Rev. Charles Lucas, of Robinson. Burgett, Mrs. Fred Deaver, Mrs. Charles McKim, of Sabetha; Mrs. M.A. Walton, Palacios, Texas; E.A. Bestwick, of Kensington, Kansas; Thos. Bestwick, of Sabetha; John and Harve Bestwick, of McCook, Neb. All were here for the funeral but the last two brothers. The father passed from this life twenty years ago the 4th of October. George was the first to be taken of ten children. He had been a suffered for over nine years and had undergone his fourth operation. He was operated on twice in one year. He had been in the hospital six weeks previous to his death. He bore his suffering patiently and never complained but was willing and glad to go when God called him home. All that loving hands could do was done to relieve his suffering. His mother, two brothers and four sisters were at his bedside the time of his death. Music for the funeral was furnished by John Pace, Fred Lukert, Mrs. William Spears and Mrs. Joe Haxton. Six of his cousins were pall bearers, Edgar Newman, M.J. Haxton, Lewis Hilt, William Perkins, Wes Bestwick and Charles Bestwick. Assumed from Sabetha Herald (Thanks goes to Anonymous for this obit!)
