Description	:	Sarah Ann Deaver, daughter of James and Julia Bestwick was born April 30, 1885 on a farm north of Berwick, Kansas. She passed away at the Sabetha hospital May 25, 1964, at the age of 79 years and 25 days, after several weeks of illness. As a child she with her parents moved near Sabetha where what is known as the Dr. Hunnicutt home. Here she lived until she was married. She was united in marriage February 19, 1905 to Fred Deaver. She passed away at the Sabetha hospital May 25, 1964, at the age of 79 years and 25 days, after several weeks of illness. As a child she with her parents moved near Sabetha where what is known as the Dr. Hunnicutt home. Here she lived until she was married. She was united in marriage February 19, 1905 to Fred Deaver. To this union three sons and four daughters were born: Melvin, Ray, William, Opal Schmitt, Lila Ruth Wiltz, all of Sabetha, Mildred McCoy, San Marino, Calif., and Frances Sauer of Topeka, Kansas. Besides her seven children she is survived by twenty grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, one brother John Bestwick of Wamego, Kansas, two sisters, Mrs. Carrie Walton of Sabetha, and Mrs. Blanche McKim, Wichita, Kansas. At an early age, 16, she was converted and united with the United Brethren Church in Sabetha. She was a faithful wife and loving mother. She lived a long useful life and will be greatly missed by her many loved ones and all who knew her. Services were at the Methodist Church Thursday, May 28, 1964 at 2 p.m. Clergymen were Rev. E.F. Seward and Rev. Kenneth Martin. Solo by Mrs. W.R. Popkess. Songs were "Take My Hand Precious Lord" and "Abide With Me." Organist was Miss Kathy Wikle. Casket bearers were Virgil Carpenter, Arthur Hartter, Ivan Roberts, Max Mock, Paul Geiger, Ernest Baker. Interment in Sabetha cemetery. Assumed from the Sabetha Herald.
