Copeland and children, Carl and Ethel, of Tappan; Mr. and Mrs. Ray Copeland, of Uhrichsville; Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Ray and children, Letha, Kenneth, Kermit, Evert, Mervin and Doris, of Mechanicstown; Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Ray and children, Donald, Gladys and Ezma, of Carrollton; Ray's brother, Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Ray, and children, Ethel, Dorothy and Mabel, of Carrollton; Mr. and Mrs. Eli Adams and children, Ellis and Elden, of Scroggsfield; Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Marshall, of Carrollton. When the noon hour arrived, all were invited to the dining room, where the tables were swaying to and fro with their load of good things to eat, but were soon relieved of their burdens, for everyone did ample justice to the roast chicken, pie, cake and ice cream, of which there was plenty. The afternoon was spent in a social way, and it was voted to make it an annual affair. A purse of $36 was presented to Mr. and Mrs. Ray. On Wednesday evening of last week friends to the number of 36 gathered in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Ray in honor of the fiftieth wedding anniversary of Mr. Mrs. Ray.
