Read More	Gerald Arthur Murch 1/30/1920 - 4/4/2011 On April 4, 2011, Gerald Arthur Murch left this world to be with his loved ones in heaven that preceded him. Gerald was born on January 30, 1920. He served his country in World War II, returning with a Purple Heart, choosing never to leave the area again. He lived a long, full life, raising a family and passing on his passion for living. As a young man, Gerald's interests were fast cars, motorcycles, along with his love for the outdoors and animals; which he carried throughout his entire life. A loyal member of the Freemasons for over 50 years, Gerald retired from his job with the Placer County garage for heavy equipment operations. A great golfer, he enjoyed chasing the little white ball around on a sunny day. While he enjoyed these earth-bound pleasures, Gerald's favorite activity was to soar high above it all in the airplanes he flew for almost 40 years. Gerald had many hidden talents, he was very artistic and created many works of art in his home workshop. Gerald's sense of humor was unsurpassed and he always made everyone laugh. He is survived by his children, Yvonne Pierson, Jeri Edwards, Bo (Gerald, II) Murch, Christopher Laycox-Murch, and Kimberly Laycox-Murch, Diane Hansen, their loved ones, nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as all the rest that loved and cared about him. "You don't need an airplane anymore daddy, you've earned your angel wings! We will miss you with an aching heart until we are all together again."
