Description	:	Gladys Viola Brandt, the daughter of John and Estella (Swanson) Anderson, was born at Lockridge, Iowa, on March 13, 1904, and died at Aurora, Nebraska, on July 30, 1997, at the age of 93 years, 4 months, and 17 days. When she was 2 weeks old the family moved to York, and in 1911, they moved to Minnesota, where she attended school. In 1918, they returned to Nebraska and lived on a farm near Exeter. Read More	Gladys Viola Brandt, the daughter of John and Estella (Swanson) Anderson, was born at Lockridge, Iowa, on March 13, 1904, and died at Aurora, Nebraska, on July 30, 1997, at the age of 93 years, 4 months, and 17 days. When she was 2 weeks old the family moved to York, and in 1911, they moved to Minnesota, where she attended school. In 1918, they returned to Nebraska and lived on a farm near Exeter. They moved to Kansas for a year and in 1921, they moved to Fairmont. She attended Lincoln Business College and was employed in Lincoln and Beatrice for several years. On March 5, 1932, she was united in marriage to George Aden and lived in Beatrice, until 1952, when she moved to York. On February 7, 1953, she married Henry Edward Brandt at Aurora. They made their home in Aurora. He preceded her in death on March 27, 1987. Gladys entered the Memorial Community Care Center at the Memorial Hospital in Aurora, on September 22, 1987, where she has since resided. She was a member of the Aurora United Methodist Church for over 60 years, and was active in church circles. She was past president of the Aurora Women's Club, past president of the Aurora Garden Club, belonged to the American Legion Auxiliary, and a member of the WW I ladies Auxiliary #2033. She was a member of the Mt. Moriah Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star, and received her 70 year pin in August of 1994. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, and a sister Ruth. Those who remain to cherish her memory are a step-son Robert Brandt of Churchville, Maryland; her brother John Anderson of Lincoln, a sister Vera Clark of Corvallis, Oregon; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
