He graduated from Easton High School in 1928. After high school, he worked for Meadow Gold Dairies in retail sales, retiring in 1972 as sales manager. Mr. Clinkenbeard was past master of Golden Rule Lodge No. 90 AF&AM and a past worthy patron of Helena Chapter No. 210 of the Order of the Eastern Star. He also was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Charlotte; a son, Ronald; a sister, Wanda Figgs; and a brother, Donald Clinkenbeard . Survivors include a daughter, Shirley Scott, and her husband, Jim, Granbury, Texas; a son, Robert Clinkenbeard , and his wife, Jan, Pagosa Springs, Colo.; a brother, Charles Clinkenbeard , Topeka; a daughter-in-law, Connie Clinkenbeard Fleming, Trophy Club, Texas; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many relatives and friends. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Jellison Chapel in Topeka Presbyterian Manor. Mr. Clinkenbeard will lie in state for family only.
