Weltmer, of Falls City, Nebr., one sister, Mrs. Victor Syster of Reserve, Kans. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Jan. 26 at 2 o'clock from Meek's chapel, conducted by Rev. M. Lee Sorey. Obituary Weltmer—Harriet Beecher Moore, daughter of Dr. William, Mary Elizabeth Moore, was born near Weston, Mo., April 27, 1864, passed to her reward Jan. 24, 1949, at the Horton hospital, at the age of 84 years, 8 months, 27 days. She moved to Hamlin, Kans., about 1880 at which place her father was a physician for a number of years. She was married on Aug. 17, 1882, at Severance, Kans., to John D. Weltmer of Hamlin, Kans. They were privileged to celebrate their 56th wedding anniversary together. The family moved to Hiawatha in 1898, where she spent the remainder of her life, except for a few years in Washington, D. C., Seneca, Kansas. To this union were born four children: Mrs. Edward Levick, Seneca, L. E. Weltmer, Frank Weltmer of Hiawatha, Kans., Ivan D. Weltmer of Falls City, Nebr. Her husband preceded her in death, Feb. 1, 1939. Mrs. Weltmer is survived by her four children, three grandchildren, Thomas Levick, Dayton, O., Lynn Weltmer, Lee Weltmer, Hiawatha, two great grandchildren, Lida Ann Levick, Carolyn Jo Levick. Also by her sister, Mrs. V. E. Syster, Reserve, Kans. Mrs. Weltmer united with the Christian church at Hamlin, Kans., she was a charter member of the First Christian church of Hiawatha, Kansas. She was a member of the Royal Neighbor Lodge of Hiawatha for a number of years, was recorder of that organization for 17 years. Mrs. Weltmer had many friends, all of whom had profound respect, love for her.
