Cleland Wells in 1997; he died April 2, 2003. She was a member of the Howard United Methodist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary Post 149 in Howard. She was also preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters. Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law Edith and Claude Johnson of Park City, and Flora and Larry Bishop of Wichita; brother Elmer Patterson of Bakersfield, Calif.; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson, and one step great-great-grandson. Memorials to the Open Door Ministries may be left in care of the funeral home.
