She was a member of East Side Baptist Church. Mrs. Cox was married to Earl George Cox April 17, 1948, at Topeka. He died April 10, 1980. Mrs. Cox also was preceded in death by a daughter, Marcia Cox in 1959, and a granddaughter, Alyssa Nicole Cox on July 27, 1993. Survivors include three daughters, Linda K. Marsh, Bedford, Texas; and Catherine A. Ottens and Carolyn Lavalley, both of Topeka; four sons, Larry G. Cox, Arlington, Texas, and Richard D. Cox, Darrell A. Cox, and Kevin S. Cox, all of Topeka; and a sister, Dorothy Linn, Coeur D'Alene, Idaho. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Newcomer-Diffenderfer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Mrs. Cox will lie in state from 4 p.m. today until service time at the funeral home, where the family will recieve friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
