Description	:	Isabel "Molly" Popwell, 97, of Marietta, formerly of New Bern, N.C., died on June 22, 2012, at the Harmar Place in Marietta, Ohio. She was born in McHenry, Md., on February 2, 1915, and was the daughter of the late Robert L. and Bertha Loudermilk Hoye. She was a 1932 graduate of the Oakland High School. She had been an Industrial nurse of E.I. DuPont for many years and then for the Pipeline Construction throughout Canada. Upon her retirement she and her husband moved to Americus, Ga., where they farmed more than 2,000 acres of crops, some of which were peanuts... Read More	Isabel "Molly" Popwell, 97, of Marietta, formerly of New Bern, N.C., died on June 22, 2012, at the Harmar Place in Marietta, Ohio. She was born in McHenry, Md., on February 2, 1915, and was the daughter of the late Robert L. and Bertha Loudermilk Hoye. She was a 1932 graduate of the Oakland High School. She was a member of the Garber United Methodist Church in New Bern. She love to travel, play golf and loved to boat, having lived on the river. Survivors include her two grandsons, Harrell Gandy and Col. Walter Gandy; six grandchildren, Drew, Meghan, Ann, Noah, Alex and Michael Gandy; three god children, Tammie Duke, Bucky Popwell and Kathi Adams; sister, Irene Moren of Indianapolis, Ind.; a brother, Robert L. (Betty) Hoye of Belpre; several nieces and nephews; a brother-in-law, Julius Popwell; and a sister-in-law, Betty Jean Sheffield. She is preceded in death by her husband, George W. Popwell; two sisters, Lucille Magro and Marie Forbes; and her step-daughter, Rebecca Jones. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions in Molly's memory may be made to the M.S. Foundation. Leavitt Funeral Home, Belpre is assisting the family with arrangements.
