Description	:	BROWER, JAMES HENRY HENRY--James Henry Brower, oldest son of John A. and Minnie Brower was born March 6, 1889, near Fairmont, Neb. He became ill March 13, 1953, and was taken to Geneva General hospital. June 14 he entered St. Elizabeth hospital at Lincoln, Neb., where he passed away August 17, 1953, at the age of 64 years, 5 months and 11 days. Read More	BROWER, JAMES HENRY HENRY--James Henry Brower, oldest son of John A. and Minnie Brower was born March 6, 1889, near Fairmont, Neb. He became ill March 13, 1953, and was taken to Geneva General hospital. June 14 he entered St. Elizabeth hospital at Lincoln, Neb., where he passed away August 17, 1953, at the age of 64 years, 5 months and 11 days. He was united in marriage to Cora Oliver at Geneva, Neb., October 31, 1912. To this union were born two children, Florence A. and John Henry. Mr. and Mrs. Brower resided on a farm near Geneva for a number of years, and then moved to Idaho. After a few years they moved back to Nebraska where Mr. Brower operated a grocery store at Sutton and until recently the Brower I. G. A. store in Geneva. Two grandsons preceded him in death, Gerald LaVerne Brower July 16, 1947 and John Henry Brower January 25, 1950. His mother passed away October 13, 1943, and his father, March 16, 1948. A brother and sister also passed away in infancy. He leaves to mourn his departure, his wife Cora, daughter Florence and her husband, Harold McCashland, son John and wife Charlene; three grandsons and two granddaughters, Richard Harold, Donn Howard and Coryle Beth McCashland and Sharon Lee and James Howard Brower, five brothers and seven sisters, Mrs. Effie Lovejoy of Red Cloud, Mrs. Bonnie Berger of Denver, Col., Mrs. Bertha Larson of Antioch, Ill., Mrs. Florence Chesnut of Joliet, Ill., Russell of Rupert, Idaho, Harry of Pine Bluffs , Wyo., Mrs. Bessie Miller, Mrs. Edna Garrett, Mrs. Mildred Fisher and Thomas A. Franklin E. and Howard, all of Geneva. This was the first break in the family of 13 children in 46 years. Also surviving are a number of nieces and nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. All knew him as a loving and affectionate husband, father, grandfather and brother and a kind friend. Funeral services were held at the Geneva Congregational church at 2 p. m. Thursday, August 20. Rev. William G. Bohi of Riceville, Ia., a former pastor, officiated. A quartet composed of Wallace Swanson, Ralph Reemts, Sheldon Johnson and Richard Wagner sang, with Mrs. Willard Foster as accompanist. Pallbearers were Deo Fisher, Harry Garrett, Elvin Jackson, LeRoy Miles, Harry Ward and Ed Watmore. Interment was in the Geneva cemetery.
