Description	:	BROWER, WILLIAM HOWARD HOWARD—William Howard Brower, son of John and Minnie Folwell Brower, was born December 19, 1907, at Fairmont. He lived in and around Fillmore county most of his life. He was married to Mildred Frazier of Fairmont on December 19, 1940. He served three years in the U.S. Army during World War II. Read More	BROWER, WILLIAM HOWARD HOWARD—William Howard Brower, son of John and Minnie Folwell Brower, was born December 19, 1907, at Fairmont. He lived in and around Fillmore county most of his life. He was married to Mildred Frazier of Fairmont on December 19, 1940. He served three years in the U.S. Army during World War II. Fifteen months were spent with the 790th Artillery Pipe Line Company. He worked with Nichols Company for several years, later managed the Nichols Brothers farm near Fairmont until his health failed and he had to retire. He was a member of the American Legion Post 21 of Fairmont. He died at Fillmore County hospital on October 21, 1980, at the age of 72 years, 10 months and 2 days. He was preceded in death by his parents, six sisters and five brothers. Surviving him are his wife, Mildred of Geneva; one brother, Frank of Geneva, Two sisters, Mrs. Edna Garrett of Geneva and Mrs. Mildred McDonald of York; nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted from the United Methodist church in Geneva on Friday, October 24, with Rev. Jay Funk officiating. Pallbearers were Clarence Kelch, LaVern Klipp, Paul J. O’Connor, Fred Nunns Sr., Floyd Smith and Ralph Softley. Honorary pallbearers were William H. Bauer, William Hofferber, Clement Kimsey and Jesse Richards. The organist was Mrs. Leonard Ackland and Dan Petersen was the vocalist. Interment was in the Geneva cemetery. The Nebraska Signal 30 October 1980 page 5.
