Mrs. Bock suffered severe burns January 13, when her clothing caught fire as she stood too near to a heating stove. Complications from time to time of pneumonia and an abscessed lung followed. Her suffering has been intense and no doubt death came as a sweet release to her. Her daughter, Miss Alice, a trained nurse, cared for her during the entire time, assisted by others competent to help and other members of her family. Jennie Wilcox spent her girlhood at the ranch house of her parents south of Alder and most of her married life on the ranch now occupied by the Oliver Morse family at Colterville, the last few years being spent at their present home in Laurin, where she assisted her husband with the care of the Laurin post office. Mrs. Bock raised a large family of children, who with the husband and father and four brothers, mourn the passing of a good wife and sister. Funeral services were held at Sheridan Sunday afternoon, with burial in the Sheridan cemetery. The deepest sympathy of the entire community is extended to the family in this the deepest sorrow they will be called upon to bear. ~~ Miss Jennie Wilcox and John D. Bock, Jr. were married on May 23, 1891, at Dillon, Montana. The marriage record shows that she was 22 years, 6 months and 27 days old, born in Virginia City, Montana, the daughter of William Wilcox and Margaret Duff.
