Description	:	Jennie was the first born of Charles J and Johanna Marie Olsen Mortenson. Her parents were both born in Denmark. There were many siblings after her, but I am unsure if they are all correct in the family search records. The 1900 Census in Council Bluffs tells us her father "Carl" was a day laborer. Jennie married Edward Otto Bonnes on March 31, 1915 in Underwood, Iowa. January 5, 1916 their first child, Arlene Mildred Bonnes was born. 1920 finds Jennie, Edward, Arlene, and 7 month old Phyllis living and farming on their own farm. Their 3rd child, Edward Otto, Jr. "Bud" was born in 1922, and he died October 7, 1998 in San Diego, California. Daughter Phyllis married Robert Litton Crow in 1938, but I am unsure when she died. She, her husband and daughter, Sylvia Sue were living with Jennie's widowed husband on his farm in 1940. They later moved to California.
