(Doc) Oatney, 80, of 4510 Eastman Ave. Dayton, died Saturday in Kettering Memorial Hospital. He was retired owner and operator of Doc's Place, Hamburg, and a member of K. of C. 3rd and 4th Degree, Council 1016. He is survived by his wife, Elva, daughter, Mrs Wayne (JoAnne) Alvis, Dumontville; four sons, Neil E. and Bob, both of Lancaster, Bill, Oakland, and James Oatney, Dayton; 22 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother Henry Oatney, Lancaster; four sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Poston, Mrs. Earl (Frances) Campbell, and Mrs. Emmet (Pauline) England, all of Lancaster, and Mrs. Ray (Bernadine) Yates, Springfield; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Richard in 1969. Arrangements will be announced later by the Sheridan Funeral Home. Friends may call today; 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home where K of C service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
