Description	:	WENATCHEE - John T. Kirksey, 89, a longtime resident of Wenatchee, died Monday, Oct. 9, 1995, in Central Washington Hospital. He was born July 24, 1906, to John Edward and Angeline (Goats) Kirksey at Blanket, Texas, where he received his education and lived until he was 15 years old. He moved with his family to Bertalis, N.M.; he drove a wagon during the move. Following his schooling, he raised his nine brothers and sisters. Kirksey, 89, a longtime resident of Wenatchee, died Monday, Oct. 9, 1995, in Central Washington Hospital. He was born July 24, 1906, to John Edward and Angeline (Goats) Kirksey at Blanket, Texas, where he received his education and lived until he was 15 years old. He moved with his family to Bertalis, N.M.; he drove a wagon during the move. Following his schooling, he raised his nine brothers and sisters. When the youngest one was raised, Mr. Kirksey traveled by boxcar to Spokane, where he lived for a time before moving to Wenatchee. He lived at Twisp, where he worked for Columbia Concrete and Pipe Co. He retired in 1973. He married June Dillion on Sept. 5, 1936, at Wenatchee. She died on June 11, 1977. He married Lucille Rosebrook in October 1977, at Lakewood. They spent their winters at Palm Desert, Calif. Mr. Kirksey was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Wenatchee Valley Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, of the home; three stepsons, Bud Dillion of St. Joseph, Mo., Larry Lundberg of Chelan and Rex Lundberg of Entiat; a daughter, Colleen Lundberg of Chelan; four brothers, Ed of Clovis, N.M., Noble of Wickenburg, Ariz., Clarence of Odessa, Texas, and Jack of Hereford, Texas; two sisters, Bess Bacon of Portales, N.M., and Oleta Lane of Sacramento, Calif.; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. In addition to his first wife, he was preceded in death by three sisters. Arrangements are by Betts Funeral Home, Wenatchee.
