Description	:	Stratford Courier December 28, 1905 Obituary Olander Jonas Olander was born in the Parish of Ljustorp in the Diocese of Hernosand, Sweden, on January 27, 1844, and died December 21, 1905, aged 61 years, 10 months and 24 days. Mr. Olander emigrated to America in May, 1869, locating in Dale county, Wisconsin, where he was united in marriage with Mary Olund on May 15, 1870. In 1872 he removed to Houston county, Minn., where he resided until 1891, when he came to Grand Junction and later came to Stratford, where he has been identified with the interests of this place since. Read More	Stratford Courier December 28, 1905 Obituary Olander Jonas Olander was born in the Parish of Ljustorp in the Diocese of Hernosand, Sweden, on January 27, 1844, and died December 21, 1905, aged 61 years, 10 months and 24 days. Mr. Olander emigrated to America in May, 1869, locating in Dale county, Wisconsin, where he was united in marriage with Mary Olund on May 15, 1870. In 1872 he removed to Houston county, Minn., where he resided until 1891, when he came to Grand Junction and later came to Stratford, where he has been identified with the interests of this place since. In 1877 he was converted and joined the Swedish Baptist church of which he was a faithful member until a few years ago he, with his family, joined the M.E. church. He leaves a wife, three sons and two daughters to mourn his departure, the youngest son having passed away three years ago. He has three brothers and four sisters, all of whom are living and residing in Sweden, except his oldest brother who lives in northern Wisconsin. The funeral was held Saturday at the residence and at the M.E. church conducted by Rev. A.B. Nordberg of Gowrie and Rev. Benjamin. The remains were interred in the Oakwood cemetery.
