Description	:	Lawrence G. Long, “L G Bob” “Fuzz” age 80 of Bean Station, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2018 at Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System. He was founder of Long’s Garage, and retired from UPS. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert F. and Ella Long; four brothers and four sisters. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Katherine; son, Jerry (Carole) Long; daughter, Ginger, (Tim) Carpenter; grandson, Rob Long and granddaughter Amethyst Carpenter; two sisters, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 8:00 P.M. Friday, May 18, 2018 in the chapel of Mayes Mortuary with Rev. Gary Satterfield and Rev. Bobby Helton officiating. Family and friends will gather at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, May 19, 2018 at the funeral home and go in procession to Meadow Branch Cemetery in Bean Station for an 11:00 A.M. graveside service. Serving as pallbearers are Jerry Long, Rob Long, Tim Carpenter, Jason Monday, Pete Lane, and Mark Bishop. Honorary pallbearers are Bob Monday and Don Wagner. The family will receive friends 5:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M. Friday evening prior to services at the funeral home. Mayes Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
