Description	:	Lenetta Louise, daughter of Walter and Marie Ehlers Poppe, was born January 30, 1941 at Chester, Nebr. She was baptized on February 23rd of the same year in St. John's Lutheran Church of Chester. Near the age of two, a physical ailment developed which continued to grow worse as the years passed so that it was necessary for her to be bedfast the last 10 years of her short life. Medical attention failed to improve her condition and she needed constant care by her mother. Lenetta passed away quietly last Sunday noon at 12:15 p.m. at the home... Read More	Lenetta Louise, daughter of Walter and Marie Ehlers Poppe, was born January 30, 1941 at Chester, Nebr. She was baptized on February 23rd of the same year in St. John's Lutheran Church of Chester. Near the age of two, a physical ailment developed which continued to grow worse as the years passed so that it was necessary for her to be bedfast the last 10 years of her short life. Medical attention failed to improve her condition and she needed constant care by her mother. Lenetta passed away quietly last Sunday noon at 12:15 p.m. at the home of her parents. Her age was 12 years, 7 months and 14 days. She will be missed by her father and mother, 5 brothers and 3 sisters: Floyd, Arlene, Maxine, Phyllis, Marvin, Melvin and the twins, Richard and Robert, and friends. Like a lily white she fell asleep, Asleep on her little bed; And her parents' eyes were dimmed with tears, For the maid of twelve was dead. But into the chamber of death He came, The Bearer of all woes, And the Lord of life awoke the maid Like a beautiful red, red, rose. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. E.B. Hilst at St. John's Lutheran Church on Tuesday afternoon. Burial was in the Lutheran Cemetery. LiVila Kapperman, Leora Poppe, Jo Ann Flathman and Margie Alloway served as pallbearers.
