Brown Willard, daughter of Henry Sager Brown (Aurora, NE.) and Ann Marie Springsteel Brown was born on the 26th. day of October, 1855, in Knox County, Illinois, departed this life at Hastings, Nebraska, on the 21st day of May, 1927, at the age of 71 years, 6 months, and 25 days. She was the fifth child of a family of six, three having passed on, the remaining relatives are Mrs. M.A. James, widow of H.W. James, of Aurora, NE., also a brother, W.E. Brown of Loup City, NE. On the 17th day of January, 1878, she was united in marriage to Samuel C. Willard. To this union were born three sons, all of who are still living; Floyd S. and Arlie J. of Comstock, NE. and Ora G. of Hastings, NE. At the age of thirteen she moved with her parents to Iowa and at the age of seventeen was converted and joined the Christian Church and ever tried to adorn the confession by her honest living and faithful life. She was a good mother and her children's loss is her gain. Farwell brothers and sisters meet me over there where there is no sorrow, nor suffering where all is sunshine. In 1890 the family moved to Hamilton County, NE. and in 1903 they moved to Custer County, NE. where she lived with the exception of about three years. Mr. Willard preceded his wife to the Great Beyond on March 10th. 1921. Besides the brother, sister, and children there are left a number of grandchildren and other relatives and a host of friends to mourn her loss. The News paper joins with friends extending sympathy to the bereaved family in their hour of sorrow. Call not back the dear departed, anchored safe where storms are o'er, when we leave this world of changes, when we leave this world, of care, we shall find our missing loved on in our Father's mansion fair. We wish to take this means of thanking our friends and neighbors for their many kindness during the death and burial of our beloved mother. Also for the beautiful floral offerings, singing and Rev.
