Passes Away Sunday Morning in South Ottumwa. Lewis Lowe died Sunday morning at 11 o’clock at his home on Market street, South Ottumwa, at the age of 65 years, 11 months, and 9 days. Mr. Lowe was born in Madison county, Ohio June 14, 1836, and was united in marriage to Frienda [sic] Jane Powell in Wapello county in 1857 and to this union were born ten children, six of whom are living–George, Oscar, Rosa, Silas, Warren and Harvey. Mr. and Mrs. Lowe have been residents of Ottumwa for seven years. The deceased had been ill for about ten days, but was not confined to his bed until Thursday. The funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Church of Christ of which Mr. Lowe was a member, and will be conducted by Rev. Morrow.
