Linda's paternal grandfather, George Albert "Bert" Crow, grandmother, Anna L. (Hagan) Crow, his great-grandfather, Isaac Crow and great-grandmother, Lydia L. (Lawrence) Crow, were living in Guide Rock, NE, as early as June, 1900. Linda's grandparents were born in Iowa and her great-grandparents were born in Ohio. WALTER BURTON CROW (1914-1966) GEORGE ALBERT "BERT" CROW (1869-1956) ANNA L (HAGAN) CROW (1872-1943) ISSAC CROW (1828-1917) LYDIA L (LAWRENCE) CROW (1838-1922) Linda was survived by an older sister, born March 2, 1938, in Guide Rock: Bernita Mae Crow (Mrs. Larry Freed), of Bismarck, ND, and an older brother, Walter "Gene" Crow Yerton, born August 15, 1940 - died April 12, 2009. Linda Louise Crow Peterson (Mrs. Mitchell "Mitch" Hadden), passed away September, 1977, in Omaha, NE. Her husband's parents are buried in this same cemetery: Wilbur H. Hadden and Eveline P. Hadden. Linda was adopted at a year of age and raised by Christian missionaries named Peterson. Bernita was 19 and Linda was 11 the last time they had seen each other. Linda's biological family found her and were reunited with her in the Summer of 1972. In 1972, Linda was 26, married, and the mother of three: Marta (6), Michelle (3), & Mark (18 mos). A sudden heart attack took Linda's life at the young age of 31 years, 5 months. Linda was survived by both Bernita's children, who were born in Page, AZ: Lori Ann Freed (Sunderland), (3-29-61 - 4-12-2008) & Kent, b. 8-21-63. Kent was 2 mos. old when they moved from Page to Yellowtail (Harden), Montana. Lori Ann Freed Sunderland predeceased her three children. Kent has three step-children. Linda's brother, Gene, was adopted by Vernon Yerton, and he and his parents moved to Kanab, Utah, in 1957, until there was housing for them in Page, Arizona. Gene married Nancy Ferguson of Page and they had one daughter, Paula Yerton Zimmerman Wing of Peoria, AZ. Vernon and Linda's mother, Mae, were "pillars" of the First Southern Baptist Church in Page. Vernon was a Deacon and Mae was in charge of the music and pianist there from 1961 until they moved to Boulder, Nevada, in 1965. MAE ELIZABETH HOWARD YERTON (May 19, 1919 - May 28, 1990) Linda's maternal grandmother was: JOSEPHINE MAE "JOSIE" (LAWSON) HOWARD (1898 - 1995) -- she lived to be 97 years old. Mae's mother was the daughter of William & Eva (Wasson) Lawson of Page County, Iowa. Josie was married on July 23, 1914, to William Edward "Bud" Howard (1891- 1964). At the time of Josie's passing, she was survived by her two sons, Alvin D. Howard (85) & Ivan Dean Howard (75), now of Mesa, Arizona; her daughter, Helen Howard Miller (81), then of Superior, NE. (Helen's family now lives in Omaha, NE); one sister, Edna E. (William R.) Pawley (1905 - 2001 in Superior, NE); 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
