Description	:	Obituary: Mrs. Lucinda Christina Forbes, 77 died Monday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mary Kinnett, 2135 North Buchanan street. She had been in poor health many years. She had never recovered from a broken hip suffered 19 years ago which confined her to her home. She was born May 6, 1858 in Tyner City, Ind., and came to Kansas in a covered wagon with her parents in 1868, settling at Auburn. In 1879, she moved to a farm near Silver Lake. Read More	Obituary: Mrs. Lucinda Christina Forbes, 77 died Monday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mary Kinnett, 2135 North Buchanan street. She had been in poor health many years. She had never recovered from a broken hip suffered 19 years ago which confined her to her home. She was born May 6, 1858 in Tyner City, Ind., and came to Kansas in a covered wagon with her parents in 1868, settling at Auburn. In 1879, she moved to a farm near Silver Lake. She was married in March 1876 to James Forbes who died in 1927. Mrs. Forbes reside in the Silver Lake community until 1918 when she moved to North Topeka. She was a member of the North Topeka Baptist church and was a charter member of the Silver Lake Eastern Star chapter. She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Kinnett and Mrs. Ida Heller, both of Topeka, Mrs. Florence Phillips, Silver Lake, and Mrs. Cora Catlett, Lawrence; a son John C. Forbes, Silver Lake; 11 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and two brothers, Hiram Mongold, Silver Lake and Frank Mongold, Newman. Funeral services will be Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the North Topeka Baptist church. Burial will be in Prairie Home cemetery. Published in Topeka Daily Capital, June 4, 1935, page 3, col. 5.
