Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 22, 2018 from 1:00 pm until 7pm. Maple Sue Rushing Cargill, age 74 of Dickson, TN died on Thursday, July 19, 2018. Born January 29, 1944, she was a daughter of the late Charlie B. and Myrtle Lucille Broadway Rushing. She was a graduate of Sardis High School, class of 1962. Maple Sue had worked at the former Scotts Hill clothing manufacturer, I. Appeal Inc. where she retired as a supervisor. She also worked for Check Printers in Nashville, TN for nearly 20 years. The remaining years of her life were spent in Dickson County, TN. She attended and was a member of Freedom Church and the former Dickson First Assembly. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, Ernest Rushing and his wife, Patti, and her brother, Harold. She is survived by her son, Jeff Moody (Donna) of Lexington, TN; daughter, Melissa Gentry (Tony) of Dickson, TN; the father of her children, James Moody of Scotts Hill, TN; her brothers, O.C. Rushing (Pat) of Linville, TN, and Charles Wayne Rushing (Patsy) of Morris Chapel, TN; 2 sisters, Graple Rushing of Nashville and Lucille Mitchell (Neal) of Lexington, TN; sister-in-law, Chris Rushing of Envil, TN; her 3 grandchildren, Jason Moody of Lexington, TN, Blake and Hannah Gentry of Dickson, TN; several nieces and nephews.
