Description	:	Marcus Sieck, 82, died at 12:54 a.m. Monday in a local hospital of burns suffered in an accident at the farm of his daughter, Mrs. Frank Stevens, with whom he lived seven miles south of Council Bluffs on highway No. 275. Sieck suffered first, second and third degree burns to his entire body and shock. Sieck was home alone at the time and it has not been determined definitely what happened. Mr. Sieck came to this country from Germany when only ten years of age. He came to Pottawatomie county in 1878 and has farmed here since during which time he has been associated with many progressive farm activities. He was a member of the German Lutheran church. Surviving are seven sons, Henry, Albert, Rudolph, Theodore, Ben and Arthur all of Council Bluffs; Walter Sieck of Oakland. Calif., two daughters, Mrs. Frank Stevens of Papillion, Neb., and Miss Alice M. Sieck of Vacivill, Calif., 16 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Woodring's funeral home is in charge of arrangements which await word from relatives on the west coast. Burial will be in the Hazel Dell township cemetery.
