She received her degree in education and taught elementary school for Lewis Central Schools until retiring. Marjorie was united in marriage to Jerome "Jerry" Donnelson on June 7, 1959, in Missouri Valley. She is a member of Community of Christ Church and served as their choir director and organist for many years.
