Description	:	Mark J. Christoffersen, of Underwood, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 2014, at Camp Sunnyside in Des Moines, Iowa. Mark loved going to camp and had attended every sumer (sic) for over twenty years. He was excited to go to Western Camp this week and looked foward (sic) to riding a horse. Mark was born on August 17, 1953, in Council Bluffs, to Gene and Ernest Christoffersen. He was baptized and confirmed in the Christian Faith at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Boomer Township, Neola, Iowa. He was 60 years old and had lived in the same home all of his life. Mark was mentally handicapped, but through the years enjoyed going to Minnesota fishing, going out to eat, going on rides to look at Lake Manawa, going to picnics, and for the last year enjoyed going to the Adult Hab program at Crossroads of Western Iowa in Council Bluffs. He especially enjoyed helping deliver Meals on Wheels with staff from Crossroads. He loved Christmas, Christmas music, and all the decorations and activities of the season. He enjoyed watching game shows on the Game Show Network and also "The Lawrence Welk Show". He had a curio cabinet filled with his collection of dog figurines of which he was very proud. Mark was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived and will be missed by his sister, Nancy; his mentally handicapped brother, George; and his cousin, Sandra Sorlien and her husband, Paul and their family. Mark has been cremated.
