Description	:	Stratford Courier Nov. 15, 1917 Obituary Angstrom Margareta Olsdotter was born in Roteberg, Ovanåker, Gävleborg, Sweden, March 25, 1834, and passed away at her home in east Stratford Monday, November 5, 1917, at the ripe old age of 83 years, 7 months and 10 days. She was baptized and confirmed in Sweden. During the year 1858 she was united in marriage to Pehr Olson Angstrom. Four sons were born to them. They are Olof, Peter, Jonas and Nels. Read More	Stratford Courier Nov. 15, 1917 Obituary Angstrom Margareta Olsdotter was born in Roteberg, Ovanåker, Gävleborg, Sweden, March 25, 1834, and passed away at her home in east Stratford Monday, November 5, 1917, at the ripe old age of 83 years, 7 months and 10 days. She was baptized and confirmed in Sweden. During the year 1858 she was united in marriage to Pehr Olson Angstrom. Four sons were born to them. They are Olof, Peter, Jonas and Nels. In 1871 deceased came to America with her husband and they located on a farm east of Stratford soon after their arrival. They lived on the farm until 1901 when they purchased a home in town and have since lived here. The husband, four sons and nine grandchildren, besides a large number of friends, are left to mourn her passing. The funeral was held from the residence last Wednesday at 1:30 and from the Lutheran church, of which the deceased was a prominent member, at 2 o'clock in charge of Rev. C.A. Callerstrom. The remains were laid to rest in Oakwood Cemetery. And so was laid to rest another of the pioneer settlers of this community. Nearly forty years ago she came to Iowa. With her husband she worked hard, suffering many privations and denying herself many things that she and her family might have a home. In common with the other settlers of that early time she helped to make Iowa the grand ole state it is today. They are passing one by one, these good old folks, for they have worked long and hard and they are very tired.
