Read More	Dayton Review January 16, 1958 OBITUARY JONAS ANGSTROM Jonas Angstrom, born October 22, 1867 in Ovanåker, Gävleborg, Sweden, the son of Peter and Martha Angstrom departed this life on January 6, 1958, at the age of ninety years, two months, and fifteen days. Jonas came to America with his parents at the age of three. The family settled near Stratford in 1871. He was united in marriage with Martha Johnson on April 20, 1898, and to this union were born six children. Shortly after marriage they located on a farm northeast of Stratford; then made their home in the town of Stratford in 1930. He has been a farmer most of his long life being a respected citizen of the community he saw begin. He was baptized by the Lutheran Church of Sweden and was a member of the Stratford Lutheran Church. His wife preceded him in death in 1950; also a son, Clarence, and a daughter, Irene, preceded him recently. Surviving are two sons, Lloyd and Harold, of Stratford; and two daughters, Mrs. Howard (Elsie) Williams of Stanhope, and Mrs. Ernest (Hazel) Westrum of Stratford, nine grandchildren, a host of relatives and friends. Boone News Republican January 7, 1958 Jonas Angstrom, 90, Stratford, Is Dead STRATFORD - (Special) Jonas Angstrom, 90, long time resident of Stratford, died Monday, Jan. 6 at the Hamilton County hospital in Webster City. Born in Sweden, Mr. Angstrom lived most of his life in Stratford. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Ernest (Hazel) Westrum, Stratford and Mrs. Howard (Elsie) Williams, Stanhope; two sons, Lloyd and Harold Angstrom, Stratford, nine grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife and two children. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:45 o'clock from the Hanson Funeral home and at 2 o'clock from the Lutheran church with the Rev. Lawrence Anderson in charge. Burial will be in Oakwood cemetery.
