Interment was in Oakwood Cemetery. BORN IN SWEDEN Olaf P. Angstrom was born at Roteberg, Ovanåker, Gävleborg, Sweden, January 13, 1859 and died February 26, 1934 at the age of 75 years, one month and 13 days. His death occurred at the Lutheran Hospital at Des Moines, following a serious major operation. The deceased came to America with his parents and two brothers in 1871 and with them settled on a farm east of Stratford. Most of his life had been spent in the vicinity of Stratford, a few years having been spent on a homestead in Nebraska. After his return from Nebraska he made his home in the western part of Stratford where his parents also lived after they retired from the farm. He was one of the early pioneers. His parents preceded him in death by a few years and a younger brother who passed away last October. The most immediate relatives to mourn his death are two younger brothers, Jonas and Nels, both residing in Stratford, being faithful members of the Lutheran Church. He also leaves several nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends to mourn his departure.
