Description	:	Fraser Mrs. Mary Fraser died at the home of her son Harry in Padonia township Tuesday morning November 22 of heart failure at the age of 72. She had been quite feeble for some time but appeared much stronger for the last few weeks and her sudden death was a shock to her friends. The funeral was held at the residence of Simon Fraser Thursday November, 24, conducted by Rev. C. P. Connolly of the Congregational church. Interment was made in the Hiawatha Cemetery. Mary A. Fraser was the oldest child of Alexander and Jane Fraser. She was born in Gault, Canada, in September 1832. She was married in February 1856, in Munroe Co. to William M. Fraser. They lived in Elgin, Ills., for a number of years. In January 1876 they moved to Kansas and for the past 28 years resided in the state. Mrs. Fraser's husband died in October 1901. In September 1904 she came from southern Kansas to Brown County to live. She had eight children. Five of them were present at her funeral: Wm. A. Fraser, of Hiawatha; Charles Fraser of St. Joseph; Mrs. Thomas Avery, of Clay county, Kansas; Mrs. James Marcell, of Olathe; and Harry Fraser with whom she lived. Mrs. Fraser was highly esteemed by all who knew her. She was a bright intelligent, well-read woman who took a lively interest in everything pertaining to the welfare of humanity. From girlhood she had been a Christian and for more than 29 years she was a member of the Congregational Church.
