Betty was born on September 25, 1920, in Council Bluffs to the late Thomas Lee and Mary Ellen Tollen. She attended St. Francis Grade School and graduated from St. Francis High in 1938. Betty retired from Mercy Hospital and later volunteered there for many years. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church for over 61 years and was a member of their Altar and Rosary Society and Mission Guild for many years. Survivors include daughter, Kathy Hrubsky and husband, Edward, of Park Rapids, Minn.; three sons, Thomas, of Garner, N.C.; Phillip, of Kathy, Texas; and Dennis and wife, Pamela, of St. Paul, Minn.; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Tim Evers, Sr. of Neola, Iowa.
