Mary Jane was born in Council Bluffs, on August 25,1926, to the late Paul Norton and Catherine E. (Stoker) Remington. She lived her entire life in Council Bluffs until moving to assisted living in Omaha. She graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1944. Mary Jane was born in Council Bluffs, on August 25,1926, to the late Paul Norton and Catherine E. (Stoker) Remington. She lived her entire life in Council Bluffs until moving to assisted living in Omaha. She graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1944. Her future husband, Stanley Hansen, returned from his service as a WWII B-24 bomber pilot in 1945. They were married in1946 at Saint John Lutheran Church. They enjoyed numerous hobbies, and time with family and friends throughout the years. They raised three children in Council Bluffs. Mary Jane was active in Sunday School, Bible School, and Luther League as well as WELCA at Saint John's Church. She was a member of Chapter GQ of PEO, enjoyed playing bridge, and participated in book clubs throughout the years. In addition to her parents, Mary Jane is preceded in death by her three brothers; beloved granddaughter, Molly Hansen. She is survived by brother-in-law Gordon (Shirley) Hansen, of Waldhof, Ontario; sister-in-law Janet Remington, of Colorado Springs, CO.; son Dana (Wanda) Hansen, of Woodbury, MN., and their son Douglas (Araksya), of Scottsdale, AZ., son Lennard (Janice) Hansen, of Omaha, and their children Christopher (Beth), of Northville, MI., James (Laura), of Omaha, and Kirk (Candace), of Lincoln, NE.; daughter Jacqueline (Ken) Kluck, of Omaha, and their children Matthew (Kendra) Kluck, of Shawnee, KS., and Susan (Kevin) O'Neill, of Lincoln, NE., fourteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Memorial Service Saturday, November 13, 2021, at 1:00 p.m., at Saint John Lutheran Church, 633 Willow Avenue, Council Bluffs, IA., with pastor Lisa Johnson, officiating. Masks are required to be worn at the Memorial Service. Private family burial in Cedar Lawn Cemetery.
