Baker died at her home in Liberty township, February 16th, of blood poisoning following confinement, aged eighteen years. The funeral services were held at Bethel chapel February 17th, Rev. Hulbert delivering the sermon, after which the remains were interred in the Bethel cemetery. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Smith, all highly respected. B. church, and had lived a good life. Just before her death she called her friends to her bedside and bid them goodbye requesting them to meet her in Heaven. Her youthful husband and infant child are left to mourn her loss.
