Read More	Obituary Morgan—Nina Edna Hoyt, daughter of Austin W., Mary Elizabeth Hoyt, was born three miles north of Hiawatha, Dec. 3, 1881, the oldest daughter of a family of four children. She died Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 14, 1949, at the home at 808 North Sixth street, Hiawatha, following a lingering illness. She was married Jan. 1, 1905, to Lazarus W. Morgan, a union marked by happiness, devoted companionship. To them were born 2 daughters: Alyce, Elizabeth. On Dec. 15, 1897 she became a member of the Hiawatha Baptist church. After her marriage, Mrs. Morgan united with the Bethel Baptist church Aug. 3, 1905. Later she, her husband again transferred their memberships on Feb. 7, 1926, back to the Hiawatha Baptist church. Since conversion her life has constantly been a beautiful example of consistent christian living. Her convictions were never displayed nor never concealed, but they supplied the guiding principles of her life. Almost the entire life of Mrs. Morgan has been lived around Hiawatha, most of it on a farm north of town. It was four years ago they retired from the farm, moved to the present home. Mrs. Morgan was a devoted wife, mother; a loving sister, a helpful neighbor; a delightful friend. One of her great pleasures in recent years has ben the joy she has had in her grand-children. All remember her slender in body, strong in spirit, radiant in personality, calm in mind, gracious in friendships, untiring in her efforts, never too weary to serve. One of her special interests outside the home was the association with the members of the Bethel Embroidery club, of which she was a member. The lasting friendships through the years brought her constant joy, pleasure. Her thoughtfulness with regard to small personal attentions will always be remembered by her family, scores of friends whose lives have been enriched knowing her. She wanted to be happy, but more than that, she wanted everyone around her to be happy. Besides her husband, she leaves two daughters, Mrs. Carroll E. Swinney of High Point, N. C., Mrs. Hozmer B. Wright of Kansas City, Mo.; four grandchildren, Jack, Suzanne Swinney, Nina, Ruth, Barry Wright. She is also survived by two brothers, Clyde Hoyt, his four daughters, two sons of Colorado Springs, Colo., Paul Hoyt of Santa Ana, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. Otis Noble of Hiawatha, Kans.; besides many relatives, a host of sorrowing friends. The memory of her life will always remain to those who knew her as a source of inspiration, happiness. Funeral services were held Friday, at 2 p. m., Sept. 16, 1949, at Meek's chapel, Hiawatha, Kans., with the Rev. A. C. Watters officiating. He used as his sermon text the 91st Psalm. Chester G. Jones sang two beautiful solos, "Does Jesus Care," "Sunrise." He was accompanied by Mrs. H. O. Middlebrook. The many flowers paid silent tribute of esteem, affection of relatives, friends, neighbors. Those in charge of the flowers were Mrs. Ralph Heatley, Mrs. George Barnes, Mrs. Nora McCoy. Burial was at Mount Hope cemetery, Hiawatha, Kans. Six nephews of Mrs. Morgan were body bearers. They were Carl Morton, Forrest Arnold, Harold Hazell, Bliss Hazell, Jerry Walsh, Merle Bradshaw. Out of town relatives present besides the immediate family were Clyde Hoyt, Colorado Springs, Colo.; Mr. Mrs. Perry Hazell, Mr. Mrs. Bliss Hazell, Turon, Kans., Mr. Mrs. Harold Hazell, Mrs. J. P. Wilson, Hutchinson, Kans., Mr. Mrs. Merle Bradshaw, Langdon, Ks., Mr. Mrs. George Morgan, Roy Morgan of Effingham, Kans.; Mrs. Helen Louise Weigle, Los Angeles, Calif., Alfred L. Morgan, Mrs. Mary C.
