Description	:	Opal Lindgren was born on a farm north of Roseland in Adams County, Nebraska, on July 18, 1908 and passed away at the Henderson Hospital, October 31st. She was the only child of John and Francis Shannon. Her father passing in her early childhood, she was raised by her widowed mother. Opal lived most of her life in Adams County until 1957 when she moved to Edgar to make her home. She is survived by her husband, Orvis, of Edgar, a daughter, Frances Hubler of Ft. Morgan, Colo.; a son, Thomas Wright, of Gainesville, Tex.; and a step-daughter,... Read More	Opal Lindgren was born on a farm north of Roseland in Adams County, Nebraska, on July 18, 1908 and passed away at the Henderson Hospital, October 31st. She was the only child of John and Francis Shannon. Her father passing in her early childhood, she was raised by her widowed mother. Opal lived most of her life in Adams County until 1957 when she moved to Edgar to make her home. She is survived by her husband, Orvis, of Edgar, a daughter, Frances Hubler of Ft. Morgan, Colo.; a son, Thomas Wright, of Gainesville, Tex.; and a step-daughter, Barbara Martin, of Yerington, Nev. and eleven grandchildren. A son, George Wright, preceded her in death. Until her illness Opal was very active in civic and church affairs. Being a member of the Edgar Presbyterian Church. She was a past president of the Edgar Woman's Club and until her health failed, took an active part in club activities. Opal will be long remembered for her love of flowers and her undivided attention to anyone needing friendship and assistance. Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 5, at 10:00 a.m., in the Urbauer Funeral Chapel with Pastor Charles Carter and former pastor, Lincoln B. Justice officiating, Miss Dee Ann Fitzke, organist, accompanied Mrs. Sonya Phillis who sang "Rock of Ages" and "In The Garden." Casket Bearers were James Phillis, Lon Springer, Ervin Wenske, Justin Merrill, Byron Kinnison and Marvin Overturf.
