Description	:	Walter Clyde McClelland, son of Paul Marion and Laura Ellen McClelland was born October 15, 1894 in Nodaway Township, Adams County, Iowa and passed away quite suddenly at the U. S. Veterans Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa, Tuesday night, April 21, 1953. His health had not been good for several years and since having undergone a serious operation about a year ago, he was unable to recover sufficiently to continue his normal pursuits. Read More	Walter Clyde McClelland, son of Paul Marion and Laura Ellen McClelland was born October 15, 1894 in Nodaway Township, Adams County, Iowa and passed away quite suddenly at the U. S. Veterans Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa, Tuesday night, April 21, 1953. His health had not been good for several years and since having undergone a serious operation about a year ago, he was unable to recover sufficiently to continue his normal pursuits. Clyde's last visit to Corning was last October when he attended the funeral services for his brother Pearl. The deceased was a veteran of World War I, having served in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the American Legion. His early life was spent in Adams County, having moved with his family to Corning, where he attended the public schools. he was baptized in the Christian faith and united with the Presbyterian Church at an early age. He has been a resident of Marshalltown, Iowa for several years where he leaves a host of friends. He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Jessie Spring of Nodaway and Mrs. Blanche Paulus, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, and three brothers, Will of Corning, Emory of Creston, and Frank of Norfolk, Nebraska, also several nieces and nephews. Three sisters and two brothers and his parents preceded him in death. Funeral services were held April 24, 1963 from the Lines Funeral Home in Corning, Iowa, with Rev. T. B. Turner officiating. Music was by John Riegel with Mrs. John Champ, pianist. Burial was in Methodist Grove Cemetery. Pall bearers were Francis Turner, Edwin Andrews, Ed Larson, John R.
