Read More	Peter Wilson, Sr. Answers Final Summons Peter Wilson, Sr. a long time resident of Knox county died at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Iva Fox at Lynch, Nebr. on Wednesday evening of last week. Mr. Wilson suffered a fall in the summer of 1932, while living with his daughter, Mrs. Hannah Moore in Creighton, which caused his health to fail steadily, but he was not bedfast, until the last two weeks of his life. He gradually grew weaker until death relieved him of his sufferings. For the past two and a half years, he had been tenderly cared for by his daughter. The subject of this sketch was born April 25, 1842 at Stalkwell, Ind. and his total age at time of death was 92 years and 6 days. He was united in marriage to Miss Sarah D. Peters on August 4, 1861 at Lafeyette, Ind., where they lived for several years. He later homesteaded near West Point, Nebr. and moved the family there, where they resided for over thirty years. He, then, removed to Bazile Mills, Nebr. and retired. He suffered the loss of his wife on August 9, 1927, which broke up the home and since that time he has made his home with his children at Rapid City, Creighton and Lynch. To the marriage union ten children were born, one son dying in infancy and one son, James, passed on in 1930. The following children are left to mourn: Mrs. Hannah Moore of Creighton; John Wilson of Dupuyer, Mont.; Bert Wilson of Elm Springs, S.D.; Mrs. Iva Fox of Lynch of Lynch, Nebr.; Robert Wilson of Wasta, S.D.; Mrs. Dora Paulsen, Bridgeport, Wash.; Mrs. Lillian Stacke, Winner, S.D. and Peter Wilson, Winnetoon. Other relatives are 34 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. Mr. Wilson was favorably known in this vicinity. He assisted his son on the dray line between Bazile Mills and Creighton at the time when the late George Brooks operated a large mercantile store in that village and when considerable freight was conveyed there. He was a good citizen and universally esteemed. Funeral services were held on Sunday afternoon at the Methodist church in Creighton at 1 o'clock. The last rites were conducted by the pastor Rev. R.B.E. Hill. The esteem in which Mr. Wilson was held was evidenced by the large throng of friends present at the funeral service.
