Description	:	Rex E. Bruning, 77, Everest, Kansas, died Saturday, April 25, 1998, at the Atchison, Kan., hospital. Mr. Bruning, a farmer and stockman, was born in Robinson, Kan., on Feb. 2, 1921, and had lived most of his life in Brown county, Kan. He was a resident of his present farm in Everest since 1946. He graduated from the Hiawatha, Kan., high school and served with the Coast Guard during World War II. Mr. Bruning was a member of the Everest Christian Church, Denton, Kan., Masonic Lodge No. 449, of which he was a past master; and Everest American Legion Post No. 88.... Read More	Rex E. Bruning, 77, Everest, Kansas, died Saturday, April 25, 1998, at the Atchison, Kan., hospital. Mr. Bruning, a farmer and stockman, was born in Robinson, Kan., on Feb. 2, 1921, and had lived most of his life in Brown county, Kan. He was a resident of his present farm in Everest since 1946. He graduated from the Hiawatha, Kan., high school and served with the Coast Guard during World War II. Mr. Bruning was a member of the Everest Christian Church, Denton, Kan., Masonic Lodge No. 449, of which he was a past master; and Everest American Legion Post No. 88. He served on the Everest School Board for 16 years. On Nov. 20, 1943, he married Pauline B. Streeter in Pismo Beach, Calif. She survives of the home. Mr. Bruning was preceded in death by his parents, George E. and Cordia; and a sister, Helen. Additional survivors: two sons, Gary E., Wetmore, Kan., and George H., Everest; a daughter, Paula Hazelwood, Baden, Pa., a sister, Thelma Curtis, Hiawatha; and four grandchildren.
