Robert worked there until age 20 when he went to Drake University Pharmacy School, graduating in 1933. He married Viola Van Horne in 1934 and together they operated Sorensen's Grocery and Pharmacy at 200 16th Ave. until 1968. He then went to work at Oard-Ross Drug until retiring 1984.
