She passed away at her home near Superior on Thursday, July 8, 1999, at the age of 79 years, 3 months and 24 days. On April 18, 1920, at Salem Lutheran Church, Ruby was baptized by Rev. George Gundel. She attended Smyrna School and graduated from Superior High School. Ruby taught in several schools in Nuckolls County. May 30, 1952, she was united in marriage to Clarence C. Wilton at Salem Lutheran Church. That union was blessed with four children. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clarence on March 12, 1981, one infant son; and three brothers, Eilert, Frederick and Carl Jr. Survivors include her children, Ronald Wilton of Omaha, Nebraska, Dennis Wilton of Overland Park, Kansas, Janette Leece and her husband, Bernie of Webber, Kansas, and Daryl Wilton and his wife Linda of York, Nebraska; six grandchildren, Todd, Drew, Jill and Krynn Ekart and Ben and Jennifer Wilton; three brothers, Alvin Bargen of Hardy, Nebraska, Orlin Bargen and his wife Blanche and Leland Bargen and his wife Lyda, all of Superior. Funeral services were held Monday, July 12, 1999, at 11 a.m., at Salem Lutheran Church with Pastor Michael Osberg officiating. Special music was "Beyond The Sunset" and "Abide With Me' with Alfred and Janell Hanson singing. A congregational hymn, "How Great Thou Art" was sung with Sonia Schmidt as organist and accompanist. Interment was in the Salem Lutheran Cemetery. Pallbearers were Steve Bargen, Vaughn Bargen, Terry Bargen, Lonnie Bargen, Chad Wood and Rick Swanson.
