Description	:	Jean Mitchell Fox, age 60, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at her home after an extended battle with cancer. A native of Bell County, TX, she was a daughter of Iva Higgins Mitchell of Burnsville the late Bruce Mitchell. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Jackie Greene and a brother, James Albert "Jimmy" Mitchell. Jean was a member of Ivy Gap Baptist Church, but had been attending Jack's Creek Baptist Church until her declining health. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Jackie Greene and a brother, James Albert "Jimmy" Mitchell. Jean was a member of Ivy Gap Baptist Church, but had been attending Jack's Creek Baptist Church until her declining health. She loved cooking, reading, but mostly her family and spoiling her grandchildren. Surviving in addition to her mother is her loving husband of 24 years, J. T. Fox; two daughters: Pam Snyder and husband, Allen, of the Cane Creek Community in Bakersville and Melissa "Missy" Gouge and husband, Greg, of the Blue Rock Community; a son, Curtis Fox and wife, Shasta, of Burnsville; a brother, Tommy Mitchell and wife, Marilyn, of Greenville, SC and seven grandchildren: Jerri and Matthew Snyder, Skye, John, Mackenzia, and Holli Gouge and Sydney Fox. Several nieces, nephews and a host of friends also survive. Burial will be in the Edwards Cemetery on Coxes Creek Road.
