He was born January 28, 1950, in Council Bluffs, to Robert L. and Mary Lou (Hammons) Owen. He graduated Abraham Lincoln High School in 1968 and attended IWCC and College of Saint Mary. Terry loved to cook, enjoyed being with family, playing with computers, and was a huge Elvis fan. Terry was preceded in death by his father, Robert L. Owen; and father-in-law, Ted Ackerman. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Sharon Owen; daughter, Sandra Owen, both of Council Bluffs; son, Tim Owen, of Burbank, Calif.; mother, Mary Lou Owen; brother, Rick (Carol) Owen; mother-in-law, Flo Ackerman, all of Council Bluffs; in-laws, Dave and Connie Steinhorst, of Melbourne, Fla., Judy and Gary Freeman, of Wichita, Kan., Carl and Susan Ackerman, of Council Bluffs; many nieces and nephews.
