Verne was born September 17, 1922, to Verne Sr. and Lena Redinbaugh in Neola. He graduated from Neola Public High School and married June Christoffersen on September 17, 1943. Verne was born September 17, 1922, to Verne Sr. and Lena Redinbaugh in Neola. He graduated from Neola Public High School and married June Christoffersen on September 17, 1943. Verne was a lifetime farmer in the Neola area and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church (Boomer Township), former Elder and Deacon of the church, former President and Member of the Farm Bureau, 40 year Board Member of FSA and Union Township Trustee. Verne was preceded in death by his wife June in December of 1995; son, Rodney Verne; grandchildren, Sara L. and Stephanie L. Redinbaugh; parents; brother, Ike and Rex; and sister, Mary. He is survived by his daughter, Verna and husband, Jim Jennings of Persia; son, Richard and wife, Sharon of Centerville, Iowa, son, Doug and wife, Diana of Atlantic; daughter, Dianne and husband, Milton Boll of Walnut, son, Les and wife, Kim of Cedar Falls, Iowa and son, Michael of Neola; 19 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; sister, Alice Broten of Houston, Texas; and sister-in-law, Jean Redinbaugh of Neola; numerous nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home with a Prayer Service at 7 p.m. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church (Boomer Township) with Pastor Sara Jensen officiating, interment at St. Paul Cemetery. Following services there will be a luncheon at the church. Memorials preferred to the St. Paul Lutheran Church.
